AFTER 5, formed in Paris in 2022, is a unique “tribute” band in Europe dedicated to the iconic Japanese musical movement of the 80s known as City Pop. With a passion for Japanese culture, the group revisits classics from Tatsuro Yamashita, Mariya Takeuchi, Toshiki Kadomatsu, Miki Matsubara, and ANRI. Their music skillfully blends elements of electro-pop, disco, funk, and jazz-fusion.

After successful performances in popular Parisian venues such as Péniche Antipode and Les Disquaires, AFTER 5 continues to share their love for City Pop at Japanophile conventions, events, and clubs, constantly seeking new places to revive this musical nostalgia.
